Operations Assistant - Furniture Importer & Retailer

Everblooming Investment is a leader in the furniture industry in Melbourne. We specialise in providing contemporary & bedroom furniture into Australia's leading marketplaces, predominately online. We have seen significant growth over the last 18 months that has looking for a new operations staff member that will help us be able increase our order, payment & dispatch efficiencies in line with our recent growth in sales.

Day to day tasks will include:

- Continually looking to implement automated processes between orders coming in and going out
- Processing orders from multiple sales channels to be organized for dispatch
- Maintaining inventory levels across different platforms
- Building new processes to improve the current timeframe between orders received and orders dispatch
- Analysis of freight costs and transit times.
- Maintaining databases for inventory management (Using MYOB AccountRight)
- Occasional Sales, Stock or Financial Report creation using MYOB

The key skills to be successful in this role will be:
- Attention to detail
- Computer literacy is very important. Data entry experience will be important in the role and an understanding of what automation is possible in operations processes will be held in very high regard
- Previous experience working in an operations or logistics based role
- Quick thinking, problem solving skills will be critical in your ability to deal with the day to day challenges that operations and dispatching represent
- An understanding of freight and warehousing in Australia are beneficial
- Time management skills are important in all roles. The ability to keep multiple balls in the air and balance your role will be highly beneficial.
- A team-first attitude. As a small-to-medium business, there will be times when you will be required to help others in their roles for the betterment of the team. A positive attitude towards this is a necessity to be successful in this role.
- The ability to create and improve processes that can be implemented by a small team
